"Middle-Earth: Shadow of War" is an epic action RPG developed by Warner Brothers that immerses players in the rich and expansive world of J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-Earth. As a Polishing Character and Environment Artist at Lakshya Digital, A Keywords Studios, I had the privilege to contribute to this ambitious project, focusing on refining character designs and environments to enhance the player experience.

In this dynamic open-world game, players embark on a journey through stunning landscapes, engaging in intense battles and forging powerful alliances in their quest to conquer Mordor. My role involved meticulously polishing character models, ensuring every detail, from gears and accessories to facial expressions, captured the essence of the iconic Middle-Earth universe.

Additionally, I played a key role in the development of the game's environments, props, and materials, leveraging my expertise to create immersive and believable worlds. This included crafting intricate characters, props and environmental assets, optimizing them for performance through the creation of LOD (Level of Detail) models and collision meshes.

The game design pipeline for "Middle-Earth: Shadow of War" involved several key stages:

1. Conceptualization: Collaborating with the art and design teams to conceptualize characters, environments, and props in line with the game's vision and narrative.

2. Modeling and Texturing: Creating high-quality character and environmental assets, meticulously sculpting and texturing each element to achieve realism and immersion.

3. Rigging and Animation: Rigging characters for animation, ensuring smooth movement and lifelike expressions that enhance gameplay and storytelling.

4. Environment Design: Designing expansive and immersive game environments, from sprawling landscapes to intricate interiors, that provide a rich backdrop for players' adventures.

5. Optimization: Optimizing assets for performance and memory usage, including the creation of LOD models and collision meshes to ensure smooth gameplay across a variety of hardware configurations.

6. Integration: Integrating assets into the game engine, fine-tuning their appearance and behavior to ensure seamless interaction with the player and environment.

Through my contributions to "Middle-Earth: Shadow of War," I had the opportunity to help bring this beloved fantasy world to life, working alongside a talented team to create an unforgettable gaming experience for players around the globe.
